I’m so pleased to have been included in the October/November edition of Quilting Arts Magazine. I responded to their “Tag! You’re it” reader challenge and was selected for publication. This is a first for me!
The challenge was to use words, type, or sayings to create an 8 ½” x 11” piece. My theme, as might be expected, was “Create 2B Happy” since that’s been my journey for a while now.
If you’ve seen it in the magazine, as is usual with my dimensional pieces, the depth doesn’t really show. The words (except for the 2) are raised ¼” above the surface, and the B is just slightly above the surface…not that you need to know that to appreciate it, hopefully. Another thing that doesn’t necessarily show is the iridescence of the embellishments.
It was fun to do and came together relatively quickly. The size limitation helped, and it challenged me to contain myself to the space allotted. I hope to participate in a future challenge.
